It’s safe to say there is no part of the world anymore that social media doesn’t make an impact. Here’s a site that illustrates how social media can help you on black friday. Of course, it doesn’t mean you won’t still have to get up at 3:30 in the morning.

I went to the Toys R Us site on Sunday (day before “cyber Monday”). It’s interesting, they were promoting a treasure hunt, which combined Facebook and their website. I think you could win gift cards or something….I’m not sure because after reading the directions, I thought it was too much trouble! Anyhow, on Monday, I went back to the site for another reason and the site was down….I’m guessing because of too much traffic!
After this class, I think I’m going to have to “like” retailers so that I get access to discounts!

Thanks to Twitter I also found out that Saturday was “Small Business Saturday” – I made it a point to go out and patronize the little guy!
